About Me:

RONITA:

I come from a family where basically all the women in the family have been nurses. My mom before me, my grandma before her, my aunts and well a few more people. I love everything there is to being a nurse and I’m motivated to work hard everyday because of my compassion for people. I get immense satisfaction from helping people and it makes me feel that I’ve been able to make a difference in their lives.

Well that is precisely why I decided to start blogging, so that I know I’m helping people in some way or the other. I hope you find everything useful and wish u all a healthy blessed life!

postheadericon Health Consciousness

‘All is well that ends well’ is a popular saying. It indeed means a lot. When we put in the best of our efforts to take good and balanced food, keeping our homes clean, take care of personal cleanliness and do regular exercise but forget about our surrounding, then there is no use in the pains we put in. Yes, it is very important that every locality has good and proper sanitation and drainage systems. This is because improper drainage can cause the breeding of a large number of invisible germs and thereby leading to water borne diseases. Although there are enough medications for this, the extreme cases are proved to be carcinogenic. Hence it is very important that every one of us join hands together in fighting against this bitter truth and give a wonderful, safe and healthy tomorrow for the next generation.

postheadericon Healthy Food

Keeping our surroundings clean and following healthy habits alone does not keep us fit. The resistance against diseases should be inbuilt. For this one should take in healthy food. In this fast moving world, no body cares for themselves. Our intake may be less but it must be of full value. It is important that we take fruits, green vegetables, pulses, grams daily so that our food is packed with all goodness and thereby providing us natural resistance against the attack of germs. We should avoid frequent consumption of fatty substances. Instead add more fibrous food in our diet. When this is done combined with regular exercise, we can be rest assured of our well being.

postheadericon Home Cleanliness

Home is the place where we not only share love but also spend most of our time. Therefore it is very important that it is neat and tidy. The primary reason for all of us becoming victims of strange diseases is that there is no proper cleanliness in our homes. We bring in lot of germs, bacteria and virus from out. It is essential that we clean our homes with proper floor cleaners, remove cobwebs, dirt and dust regularly. When this is done, we can put a full stop to terrific respiratory diseases, allergies and skin diseases especially in children. Thus paving way to clean, healthy and happy life.

postheadericon Positive Spirit

Our mind is a wonderful tool that can work wonders. All that one need is the positive spirit and keeping it fresh. But that is what we all lack and fail to do. This can be attributed to the busy and tight schedule at office and carrying the same home and there is no time to relax. When this continues, our entire body function collapses. Hence it is essential that we allocate at least half an hour of our time for meditation or yoga. It is proved that the breathing exercise we do improves our concentration, cleans our respiratory tract and keeps our mind active and capable of working wonders.

Charity begins at home is a popular saying. Similarly Cleanliness also begins at home. When a child grows, he has the opportunity of learning more from his parents. Hence it is the responsibility of parents to teach children clean practices from childhood. Practices like washing our hands with soap before and after meals and after using toilets, periodic cutting of our nails, brushing our teeth twice a day, having bath daily seem to be petty. But once followed and it becomes a habit, one can be sure of keeping good health by preventing contagious diseases and all other viral infection from spreading.
